Math Together

Add academic content, enrichment, social development

One-on-one mentoring is the most effective instructional approach, especially for children who have already put in a full day in the classroom. Learning Together harnesses the power of the mentoring bond for enrichment and social development, while its structured curriculum provides a simple solution for adding academic content to extended days. Working with a special tutor after school feels like fun, not punishment for poor performance, yet Learning Together is proven to boost scores by a grade level or more.

It's cost effective, too -- with so much structure built into program design, even less qualified staff can run a successful academic program with cross-age tutors or adult mentors. We provide the coordinator training, prescriptive lessons and ongoing support needed to help at-risk students reach their potential. After our on-site professional development, your staff can simply open the purple boxes and get started.

Following simple steps to success, Learning Together can help schools or community organizations select tutees, pick the appropriate tutor model and prepare the coordinator who will monitor the program. Our training and customer relationship staff works with you throughout implementation to ensure success.

School districts and 21st Century Community Learning Centers throughout the country have implemented our afterschool programs with a variety of mentor models:
