| Reading Together emphasizes active learning, featuring a carefully sequenced set of experiences that helps students become motivated and independent readers and writers. Students learn strategies for intentional thinking, enhancing their understanding of the text. All language arts – listening, speaking, reading and writing – are practiced in each lesson. Students are exposed to a wide range of texts, including informational and procedural, supporting content in language arts, social studies and science. |

| Math Together is based on the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Principles and Standards for School Mathematics (Pre-K through 12). It teaches NCTM’s five content strands: numeration, measurement, algebra, geometry and data analysis. Math Together incorporates the strategies most essential to increasing student achievement, as outlined by the National Assessment of Education Progress. |
